Premier house builder, Barratt, specified Monarch aluminium windows and doors from Sapa Building Systems valued in excess of £1m for its new, ultra modern housing development in London's Docklands, called Barrier Point - the tallest building ever built by Barratt.
Sapa Building Systems supplied 600 casement and reversible windows, and 200 patio and residential doors to the £45 million development, which has as its centrepiece a sleek cylindrical apartment building towering 165ft over the Thames Barrier.
Comprising 252 one, two and three-bed luxury apartments, the 18-storey tower also features a glass-walled restaurant on the ground floor and magnificent penthouse apartments at the top.
The design, manufacture and installations of Sapa's Monaframe window and door systems was undertaken by London based fabricators M.Price Ltd.
A Barratt spokesperson said: "The Monaframe windows and doors were chosen to complement the contemporary design of these magnificent homes, and the versatility of the range that included reversible and casement windows, and four and two pane patio doors, provided a cost effective, high quality solution from one complete system."
