Sapa Building Systems fenestration has been used throughout a stunning development at Narrow Street in London.

The Mosaic, built on the site of a former storage depot, was designed and developed by St James Homes. The architects for the project, Broadway Malyan, worked extensively with Sapa customer SBD on a solution for the building's many and varied fenestration requirements before work started in early 2001.

The upper floors including the penthouse apartments feature Proframe Window Wall, the cost-effective solution to lowrise curtain walling. The rest of the apartments comprise Proframe windows whilst the balconies throughout the building feature Monaframe patio doors and French doors. The ground floor of the building is presented as a communal area for residents including private dining rooms and a 'hotel-style' foyer and orangery, overlooking a courtyard garden, constructed from Gridframe curtain walling as well as commercial entrance doors.

All of the 195 apartments were sold before the building work was completed, including the penthouses. Part of the building also includes provision for approximately 30% affordable housing.
