Sapa Building Systems' Dualframe has been used to stunning effect at a London Mews development.
The Mews is an eye-catching development of just six architect-designed houses in the heart of Islington. Enclosed by the walls of the factory that once stood on the site, each property gains an air of seclusion in an otherwise bustling location.
The highly contemporary design was created by David Gibson Architects for the Noble House Group Ltd and the use of modern materials throughout has resulted in a remarkable development that is an example of modern luxury living. The façade of the building is punctuated by projecting bay windows and full height glazed screens created from Sapa's Dualframe 75 casement window suite and installed by Capital Windows of Uxbridge. The slim sightlines of Dualframe mean that a contemporary appearance to both inside and outside of the properties is achieved whilst still attaining high thermal efficiency.
Dramatic architectural features are found throughout the houses which are accentuated by the abundance of natural light that the extensive glazing allows to reach into every level.
